Our team is built on the foundation of volunteers and self-contributors, individuals who dedicate their time and efforts voluntarily to contribute to our collective goals.


Nang Nyi - Founder/Director

Nang Nyi is a founder of Doh Zat, a director of the Editorial & Communications Team, and a communications specialist with 10 years of experience in the arts and online blogging. They have a strong background in communications and event and project management, having worked with many non-governmental organizations and corporations. As a child rape survivor themself, Nang Nyi is a fierce advocate for social causes such as protecting the rights of sex workers, and stopping sexual harassment and child abuse. They are committed to LGBTQIA+ community advocacy, identifying as bisexual themselves. They are also passionate about youth development, and environmental justice. They have run digital literacy training for youth and children, and taught in refugee camps along the Thai/Burma border. A strong individual and a single parent, Nang Nyi believes that youth outreach is key to creating a better future for people and the planet.

Ma Pann Nee - Founder/Consultant

Ma Pann Nee is a founder of Doh Zat, a consultant for the Mental Health Support team, who’s a proud feminist and a queer woman. She’s a community worker with 9 years of working experience in the civil society and international NGO-sector, focusing on mental health, youths, arts, education, gender equality, social enterprise, and political-cultural exchange.

She is a skilled project manager and facilitator with a B.A in Myanmar and a strong belief in empowering civil society. She started the #iBleed campaign, to raise awareness of period positivity in women and how taboos can be taken down, on social media. She worked with artists, journalists, youths, and GBV victims/saviors for counseling and mental well-being training for over 400 hours, while exiled in Thailand.

She is an initiative that aims to create a fairer and better society while doing care positively for the environmental causes, by eating plant-based, consuming less waste. She’s awarded for the Rotary Peace Fellowship 2022, and perusing her master degree in University of Bradford, UK.

Zaw - Podcast Team

Zaw worked for creative solutions at Doh Zat since the first day and moved to Podcast team as his passion leads to editing, content creating and sound engineering.

Lotty - Editorial Team

Lotty is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and has experience in youth and outdoor education. For the past few years, she has been working with civil society and environmental organizations in Myanmar in project development and fundraising. She is interested in supporting transformative grassroots initiatives that work towards a more just future for all living things. She is passionate about organizing around women’s rights, climate justice, workers’ rights, and queer liberation. Lotty is an artist and she believes in the power of art to transform painful experiences and build community.

Khar Khar - Editorial Team

Hillary is a dedicated peer mentor and storyteller. She studied English Literature. Capturing stories to highlight people’s emotion and insights and delivering life lessons is the most important part of her work. She understands that everyone’s life is an artistic record of humanity. These are challenging journeys because they contain different colorful chapters such as hopes, dreams, problems, failures, love, and hate. Hillary’s great passion is bringing out truthful untold stories in order to heal people in our community who have been through traumatizing and stressful experiences.

Aye - Editorial Team

Aye is a feminist and aspired change-maker who is passionate about promoting gender equality and social justice in the country. She studied International Relations at University of Yangon and has 5+ years of experience in community development focusing on gender equality, waste management, substance use prevention, child protection, and youth empowerment.  She is skilled in organizational leadership, project management, reporting, research, and strategic planning. As a part of Girls Get Equal Campaign, she was chosen to serve as a one-day Royal Norwegian Ambassador to Myanmar in 2019, which is also recognized as a beginning of her feminist journey. She has also won awards for publishing articles advocating Feminism, Gender Equality and Women's Rights in Myanmar. She believes in providing high-quality education and raising awareness to help people in Myanmar unlearn stereotypes and achieve gender equality. She is currently working as Gender Focal Point and Project Officer at a FinTech startup powering financial inclusion in Myanmar. She is a huge fan of travelling.

Shwe - Comms Team

Shwe is a communication professional with more than 15 years of experience working for both corporate and non-profit organizations in Myanmar. As a strong writer, she excels in crafting key messages for a wide range of target audiences, organizing engagement activities virtually and physically, and running awareness raising campaigns. With a solid track record in journalism, public relations, corporate communications, and strategic communications, she loves to utilise her skills in promoting equality and diversity in the society.

Jon - Comms Team

Jon is a mobile developer based in Singapore working in FinTech & Media industries providing his expertise related to various mobile platform developments. Jon is also passionate about helping small communities and artists with their digital needs and providing technological advice. Now, Jon also takes care of all the tech-related matters for Doh Zat as he believes in the power of story and art, and is actively involved in all the team activities.

Sai - Comms Team

Sai currently working as a professional corporate communications manager in Telecom Industrial. With more than 10 years of working experience in both corporate life and business sector, Sai has a solid record of implementation and design a digital communication strategy by keeping abreast the new trends in the digital communications space. As a communication expert, he communicates enthusiastically with people, listens to the different stories with the targeted audiences and provides the necessary communication and supporting to create a better future.

Ivory - Mental Health Support Team

Ivory holds a Bachelor of Art in Social Science Studies and completed her basic and advanced counseling training as well as psychological first aid (PFA) for psychosocial support training in 2020. She is also trained in Integrative ADAP Therapy (IAT) for common psychological problems and has been practicing as a mental health practitioner, receiving various individuals with a range of emotional and behavioral issues from stress and anxiety to relationship issues since then.

She provides bilingual (Either English or in Burmese) and confidential online therapy sessions. She offers a welcoming, warm, non-judgemental safe space for her clients and focuses on person-centered therapy and works together with them to support them in their healing journey. She respectfully communicates with the clients, based on the principles of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusiveness regardless of their race, religion, ability, or gender identity.

Shin Shin - Mental Health Support Team

Shin Shin is volunteering as a Psychosocial Responders for Doh Zat. She is certified HSDI’s Psychosocial responders and graduated with Art degree. She worked over 9years in private schools and currently working as a content writer on mental health related articles at “How She Dit It” community projects.

Thiha - Mental Health Support Team

Thiha finished Basic Counseling Course and currently working as a Relationship Officer at Doh Zat to liaison between clients who ask for mental support and respective professional mental health counsellor. He is into writing and used to write lifestyle and travel articles at the famous newspaper in Myanmar. Also writing and editing the gender related, gender issue and LGBT advocacy articles now. Have over 8 years experience in media, he loves traveling and writing and reading.
